Ik heb onlangs mijn Mac gewist en OSX El Capitan public beta 3 opnieuw geïnstalleerd. Ik heb pip geïnstalleerd met sudo easy_install pipen virtualenv geïnstalleerd met sudo pip install virtualenven had geen eventuele problemen.
Als ik nu probeer sudo pip install virtualenvwrapper, krijg ik het volgende:

Aangezien het probleem lijkt te zijn met het pakket six, resulteert het handmatig proberen om het te verwijderen met sudo pip uninstall sixin dezelfde fout. De uitvoer stelt voor om ook de vlag -Hte gebruiken, maar ik krijg nog steeds vrijwel dezelfde fout:

Ik heb rootless uitgeschakeld met sudo nvram boot-args="rootless=0", en dit heeft geen effect gehad. Alle hulp wordt op prijs gesteld!

Je kunt handmatig de afhankelijkheden installeren die niet bestaan bij een standaard 10.11-installatie, en dan de andere pakketten installeren met --no-depsom de afhankelijkheden te negeren. Op die manier zal het six(en argparsedie ook al geïnstalleerd is) overslaan. Dit werkt op mijn 10.11 beta 6-installatie:
sudo pip install pbr
sudo pip install --no-deps stevedore
sudo pip install --no-deps virtualenvwrapper
En het is niet nodig om rootless uit te schakelen.
